Recycling Tires in Concrete

Recycled tires can be used in concrete. There seems to be many benefits according to energyjustice.net and very few cons. It seems good for roads but im looking to do some more research and see if i can apply it to concrete in foundations

Here is the link http://www.energyjustice.net/tires/solutions.html

  1. This is a promising direction for your research to take. It would be interesting to discover if there are any additional benefits to using rubber in concrete for foundations. For example, does it add R-value? Is it more waterproof? Does it resist cracks better? Of course you would also have to look at the cons like possible health concerns. Recycled content does not necessarily make a product green.
