My role in conceiving the project is to take an unbiased route. The main form of the research project will consist of my own reports and calculations in the concrete field. Other areas will consist of unbiased results from books and online resources.
In order to implement the project I will begin to research throughout the summer of 2010. The first place I plan to start is the local cement plant (Kemp Concrete). There I will hope to conduct samples and test materials for my study. Once my results are compiled I will research concrete from reliable resources using books and the internet. Once compiled I will put together a report to compare types of concretes and reusable materials and the prices.
My academic objective is to complete the applied research project by Feb.1 of 2011 and to finish the ARET diploma. This project will allow me to prove I can complete an applied research project in a timely manner and prove to fellow instructors that I am ready to begin my career.
